The Whitest Kids U' Know is an American sketch comedy troupe and television program of the same name. The group, who are based in New York, consists of Zach Cregger, Sam Brown, Darren Trumeter, Timmy Williams, and the late Trevor Moore, who died in August of 2021.

History[]

SVA[]

The Whitest Kids U' Know formed in 2000 when Trevor Moore, a student at the School of Visual Arts in New York, met fellow student Sam Brown. They were later joined by Zach Cregger, forming the core trio which went on to write most of the sketches performed in the troupe's early years.

Initially the troupe was an officially sanctioned club at the SVA, which meant it had to accept any SVA student who wanted to join. Trevor claims on the commentary of Season 1 that there were 12 people in the troupe at one point (Darren mentions 14 in an interview), despite efforts to keep the number of members down. A few of the 'old' sketches filmed (such as The New Thing) featured former SVA students.

At that time Trevor, Sam and Zach were all living in the St. George hotel in Brooklyn, a general housing dorm (having missed the deadline for the college's dorms). Timmy Williams, housed in the same dorm, met the others on 9/11.

The troupe broke off from the SVA in 2003, which left Trevor, Sam, Zach and Timmy as a much smaller troupe. Later in the year, Zach met Darren Trumeter on the set of an independent film. After seeing their shows, writing sketches and getting drunk with the troupe, Darren was invited to join.

2003-2007[]

Future[]

On April 5th, 2011, Sam posted a blog entry on the official website confirming that the fifth season will be the last, but the troupe will still be 'making or performing comedy'.
